Ultra High Resolution Textures.

So you never miss out on the detail that takes your work to the next level.

Have the best of both worlds…

Realism VS Stylized

Texture treatment to suit your needs. Atomedge 3D models come standard with two sets of texture maps and shader/render setups. If it’s photorealism you’re after we have it for you in all the “gory” detail. Need something a little more sanitized for your audience? No problem, simply load the stylized set of texture maps

Thousands of Reference Photos.

Our texturing process starts with taking high resolution studio photographs of real life hard and soft tissue specimens from every conceivable angle. We make use of a special “flat-light” setup which limits reflections, highlights and lowlights - the best starting point for texture painting.

These photos are then projected onto our 3D anatomy models which have been crafted by a combination of 3D scans and Zbrush sculpts.

In cases where cadaver specimens have been plastinated, our team substitutes texture reference photos with those of freshly obtained pig organs.

8k Textures Standard

The majority of our textures have been saved out at 8K. For areas requiring that extra level of detail, such as the cranium and integumentary system we push them up to 15k. In areas where less detail is required we keep the model efficient by lowering texture maps to 4k.
